Virginia’s Bristol casino is hiring.

Bristol Casino — Future Home of Hard Rock is holding a hiring event on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. ET.

“Come join the band in Bristol!” the casino’s website announcement reads. “We are looking for smiling faces to deliver rock star service for our guests.”

The Bristol casino is located at 500 Gate City Highway.

What jobs are available at Bristol Casino?

There’s a number of jobs open at Bristol Casino.

According to a release, the casino is looking to hire cooks (all levels), cocktail servers, stewards and Team Member Dining Room attendants.

Don’t boast any specific expertise in a similar position? Don’t worry. The casino says that no prior experience is necessary.

Starting pay for the cook, steward and attendant positions begins at $18 an hour.

Make sure to apply before attending Virginia casino job fair

If you have interest in the casino’s open positions, Bristol Casino says to apply online before attending the job fair.

The casino wants to make sure its prospective employees are prepared.

If you plan on attending the food and beverage hiring event, make sure to dress professionally. The casino also states that bringing a printed resume is “strongly encouraged.”

Bristol Casino has other openings, too

Outside of food and beverage jobs, the casino has other openings. Bristol Casino’s website lists a number of full-time positions as part of the human resource team, a dealer, facilities engineer and more.

“We are seeking like-minded ‘Rock Stars’ who are interested in a career in the fast-paced gaming industry with Hard Rock Casino Bristol,” the website’s page reads.

Virginia’s permanent Bristol Casino opens next spring

If all goes according to plan, the permanent Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol will open its doors in  spring  2024. And on paper, it will be worth the wait.

The permanent casino spans roughly 300,000 square feet. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol will feature 1,300 slots, 50 table games, a sportsbook, plenty of dining options and more.

As of now, the temporary location offers 30,000 square feet of gaming space, 870 slots and 21 tables. Bristol Casino — Future Home of Hard Rock does offer a sportsbook, too.

Once open, roughly 1,200 full- and part-time employees will work at the casino.

Rivers Casino Portsmouth has open positions as well

Unlike the Bristol casino, Rivers Casino Portsmouth is 100% complete. It officially opened its doors on Jan. 23.

The Portsmouth location stands as Virginia’s first full-service casino. The casino did well in its first nine days of operation. From Jan. 23-31, Rivers Casino Portsmouth generated $9 million in adjusted gross revenue.

And much like its Bristol counterpart, Rivers Portsmouth has plenty of job openings listed on its website. 37 full-time openings, to be exact, as of Tuesday.

These job opportunities range from a variety of categories. Rivers Portsmouth is hiring employees in hospitality, gaming, operations, marketing, regulation, human resource and finance.
