Players are already winning big before the Virginia Lottery expands its online offerings next month.

In the past few days alone, we have discovered that players of the VA Lottery emerged victorious:

  • Playing Mega Millions can win you one million dollars.
  • The amount of $300,000 can be won by playing with a Print ‘n Play Rolling Jackpot ticket.
  • Playing Cash4Life can earn you $1,000 every week.

If you happen to reside near Floyd and frequently visit the Food Lion on West Main Street, it would be wise to inspect your pockets. This is because a winning Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $1 million was purchased at that particular establishment.

The numbers that emerged victorious in the drawing on June 23rd were 6, 20, 37, 40, and 48, accompanied by the Mega Ball number 15.

The fortunate individual who possessed the ticket was only one number away from winning the Mega Ball, but they still managed to secure a $1 million reward by matching the first five numbers. This ticket was the sole one across the entire country to achieve this feat in Tuesday’s drawing.

The winner of the lottery has yet to step forward and has a period of 180 days to do so. The Virginia Lottery strongly recommends that the winner immediately signs the back of the ticket. This action will secure the winner’s ownership of the ticket in case it gets misplaced or stolen.

The jackpot for the June 26 drawing reached $44 million as no winning jackpot ticket was produced.

More lottery players collect big checks

For more than a month, Wanda Quesenberry, a realtor from Virginia, securely stored a Print ‘n Play Rolling Jackpot ticket worth $332,986 in her safety deposit box.

After buying the ticket at Circle K on Jeb Stuart Highway in Stuart, she later claimed her prize and used the cash to contribute towards home renovations and investments in real estate.

Quesenberry happily exclaimed to the Virginia Lottery officials, “This feels amazing!”

Are you aware of the amazing feeling that comes with the knowledge of receiving a $1,000 paycheck every week for the rest of your life?

Kenneth Reeves has entered a new reality, having recently acquired his victorious Cash4Life ticket from Fourth Street Market in Wytheville.

As the VA Lottery expands its offerings and introduces online ticket sales within the state, the likelihood of winning lottery tickets like these may increase in frequency.

VA Lottery online sales almost here

Starting from today (July 1), individuals participating in the lottery can conveniently buy tickets through online platforms. At present, online sales exclusively offer subscriptions for Powerball and Mega Millions, requiring a minimum purchase of four games.

Earlier this year, the approval of expanded offerings opened up the option to make online purchases for:

  • Individual Powerball and Mega Millions tickets
  • Instant-win games
  • Electronic versions of scratchers

With online tickets, players can conveniently purchase tickets from their phones at any time, eliminating the need to visit the local market for participating in major jackpot drawings or satisfying their scratch-it cravings.

Although retail sales will continue to be the primary source of income for the lottery, online sales will attract fresh participants and boost revenue from current ones.

According to Kevin Hall, the executive director of the Virginia Lottery, he anticipates that online sales will lead to an increase in the lottery’s customer base.

“Our core focus will remain in retail, specifically with the traditional scratch ticket. However, we believe that incorporating an online sales channel will allow the Virginia Lottery to resonate with a unique set of customers who may have never considered it before.”
